This 2003 book has a billion bad reviews on Amazon, most complaining about the use of an obscure language called Ruby, and the lack of detail given for the Java implementations of the book's ideas.



In fact, I've only read one positive review ever for this book.

The author spoke about the subject of his book on Google Video, explaining he wanted it to be a pure Ruby book, but couldn't justify the market at the time.
