Ruby Inside posted about a very new project, potentially quite awesome. Scott Fleckenstein has created an Erlang-Ruby bridge called Erlectricity. His blog gives the example of posting to Campfire with Erlang via a Ruby Tinder daemon. I'm still a total n00b with Erlang, but it looks to me as if Erlectricity basically resolves the concurrency disparity between the two languages by treating Ruby as a server and Erlang as a client.
This is an interesting project, and I hope there's more to come.
