Use Case for Automated Anonymity

Opponents of anonymity protection online tend to think that if you're not a criminal, you can't benefit from anonymity.

However, anonymity also protects people who fight spam:

researchers who have managed to glean facts about the [network of hacked machines and system for hacking it] are reluctant to publish their findings. "They’re afraid. I’ve never seen this before," Korman says. "They find these things but never say anything about them."
